St Joseph’s College successful in Capital Grants Programme
Federal Member for O’Connor Rick Wilson has congratulated St Joseph’s College on being named a recipient of a $449,782 Australian Government grant.
The grant, awarded as part of the Capital Grants Programme (CGP), will go towards a project to construct two general learning areas, a library including a workroom, store, multipurpose room, administrative area and offices, a covered assembly area and car park with drop off zone.
Mr Wilson said the funds will ensure students at St Joseph’s College have the infrastructure necessary to help them get the most out of their time at school.
“While buildings alone do not make a school, St Joseph’s College students will benefit when these enhanced facilities are complete.”
The CGP provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure where they otherwise may not have access to sufficient resources.
The Australian Government is committed to improving the quality of our school education and ensuring students are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.
“The government believes in an education system that puts students first. A quality education gives young people the opportunity to achieve personal success and contribute to our nation,” Mr Wilson said.
