Esperance

  • $4 million toward the new Esperance jetty;
  • $4 million to expand Headspace services;
  • $6.8 million for the Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation to care for country until 2028;
  • $2.09 million toward upgrades to Esperance Bay marina;
  • $1.4 million to seal 11 kilometres of Cascade Road;
  • $1.2 million toward improving Rollond Road;
  • a million-dollar infrastructure boost in 2021 to upgrade Grass Patch community dam, build a new 10ML dam next to the existing Scaddan Country Club dam and upgrade the Cascade community dam;
  • $300,000 to upgrade the piggery mountain bike track;
  • $300,000 for landscaping improvements at Wild Cherry Park;
  • $250,000 to provide a GPS CORS base network to the Esperance rural areas that have no coverage, including Cascade, Coomalbidgup, Grass Patch, Dalyup, Scaddan, Salmon Gums and Condingup;
  • $221,876 to provide CCTV coverage for the Esperance foreshore;
  • $200,000 to upgrade the Esperance home-care building;
  • $75,000 for landscape improvements at Lake Monjingup;
  • $75,000 to provide a lost-at-sea memorial at the Esperance foreshore;
  • mobile telecommunications blackspot at Cascade to be addressed with new base station funded at Cascade North.

I was inspired to run for Parliament following my involvement in a decade-long campaign to deregulate the wheat industry, which brought about the end of the Australian Wheat Board’s monopoly.
