Funding for Denmark’s ocean-to-channel improvements
The Federal Government is providing $699,874 for the Shire of Denmark’s Ocean to Channel public realm improvements.
Federal Member for O’Connor Rick Wilson MP said the funded improvements would include boardwalks, lookouts, pathways and other important works.
“All this work will improve the amenity of the area for Denmark residents and for visitors to the idyllic shire,” Mr Wilson said.
The improvements will be made possible through Phase 3 of the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
In total, the program has delivered $1,446,475 for infrastructure projects nominated as top priorities by the Shire of Denmark.
“Under an extension to Phase 3 of the program recently announced in the Federal Budget, from July 2023 Denmark is scheduled to receive a further $349,937,” Mr Wilson said.
“This will allow the shire to undertake other important projects.
“In good time, I look forward to seeing what projects the shire next proposes under this fantastic local infrastructure and roads program.”
