Funding & Support: Albany

  • $140 million for the $175 million Albany ring road;
  • $6.6 million toward a radiation oncology service;
  • $4.99 million toward the Albany Motorsport Park;
  • $4.5 million for enhancements to the Middleton Beach foreshore;
  • $3.04 million for Southern Aboriginal Corporation to build six self-contained emergency accommodation units for women and children;
  • $1.66 million for upgrades to the main runway asphalt surface, taxiway and regular passenger transport apron at Albany Airport;
  • $1.01 million toward Albany Youth Challenge Park;
  • a million-dollar infrastructure boost in 2021 that included upgrades to Bornholm/Kronkup, Elleker, King River, Lower Kalgan, Napier, Redmond, South Stirling and Youngs Siding halls;
  • $299,200 to build an emergency services apron at Albany Airport;
  • $270,000 toward planning for Albany-Kinjarling’s 2026 bicentenary celebrations.

MEET RICK

I was inspired to run for Parliament following my involvement in a decade-long campaign to deregulate the wheat industry, which brought about the end of the Australian Wheat Board’s monopoly.
